Miss Sameena Rashid

About Me:

Miss Rashid is an experienced Dermatological Surgeon based in the NHS Lanarkshire Plastic Surgery Unit with a subspecialty interest in skin cancer. After qualifying from Glasgow University Medical school in 2001, she completed higher surgical training and membership examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. She has undertaken post graduate research at the Professorial Unit in the Queens Medical Research Institute and University Of Queensland Medical School and holds a Masters of Medicine Degree in Skin Cancer. She has also completed a plastic surgery fellowship with training and certification in facial aesthetics.

Miss Rashid is an examiner for the University Of Glasgow Medical School and has been appointed as a senior lecturer within the Skin Cancer Unit at UQ Medical School. She has published research articles in medical journals and presented findings in national and international conferences. She is also one of the lead clinicians spearheading the Scottish Governments National Dermatology Campaign within the National Elective Coordination Unit which has been established to support national waiting times recovery.
