About Me:

Morag is a NHS Consultant Gastroenterologist working at University Hospital Monklands. She graduated from University of Glasgow in 2007 and has went on to complete general medical training followed by her specialist gastroenterology training in the West of Scotland.

Morag sub-specialises in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis) but also looks after patients with a variety of gastroenterology problems including dyspepsia (indigestion), irritable bowel syndrome, gastroparesis, liver disease, coeliac disease, anaemia, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and constipation.

She is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology, the Scottish Society of Gastroenterology and the British Medical Association.

She is passionate about empowering patients towards understanding their condition and working collaboratively with patients to reach a diagnosis and form treatment plans that considers the patient as an individual. She is able to see patients aged 16 or above.

If you are able to bring along to the consultation the results of any tests/ investigations performed to date, it can be useful in deciding next investigation and management. This is not essential.
