About Me:
Having trained in Paediatric Surgery in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Brisbane, Atul has been a Consultant Surgeon in Glasgow for over 20 years at the Royal Hospital for Children (formally Yorkhill). Atul’s main specialist areas are Upper Gastrointestinal and Thoracic with an emphasis on Minimally Invasive (keyhole) surgery. Having been involved with the General Surgery of Childhood throughout training and as Consultant, Atul has carried out several hundred circumcisions. Currently Atul is the Clinical Lead for Paediatric Surgery at RHC, Glasgow, an examiner for the Intercollegiate MRCS examination and is a co-founder of the Scottish Infant Religious & Cultural Circumcision Service (SIRCCS).
